Ever since my mom let me play with a tape recorder at age 5, I knew I wanted to be "the guy on the radio." I love being able to give someone on the way to work a reason to laugh or think or have a little fun; a momentary escape before they start their day.

I was born and raised on a ranch near Mt. Rushmore in Rapid City, South Dakota. Since cows and I never really got along very well, I followed my childhood dream of becoming a DJ.

My first job was DJ/Skate guard at a skating rink before anyone even knew what an inline skate was. I took the job for the chicks and because I loved to skate and I always thought twirling the whistle looked cool. How did that work out for me, you ask? Well, at least I got to skate and twirl my whistle a lot.

I love to hike, snowshoe, geocache, work out, and do woodworking (nothing complements alcohol better than a table saw) and there's a never ending list of home projects that keeps me busy. That's the thing with a house, there's never a lack of things to spend money on or to do.

I live with my wife Julie and our dog, an Australian Shepherd named Red. We adopted Red from the humane society. He likes walks and fussing and hates window screens and UPS trucks. He doesn't have problem with FedEx, he just isn't down with brown.
